Parenting Skills and Support Group

Virtual group for parents, helping you learn concrete tools to better understand, communicate, and connect with your children.

8-Week Group

Tuesdays 7-8pm

Are you ever frustrated, exhausted, or confused by your child’s behavior? Wondering why they are being disrespectful, ignoring you, or having meltdowns for seemingly no reason?

If you want to understand them, communicate easily and connect more deeply this group is for you!

In this group you will learn….

Concrete tools to use in high-stress moments

Practice your own coping skills to remain calm and then learn about what behaviors will escalate vs. de-escalate your child in situations.

Healthy communication strategies

Learn how to avoid power struggles and find compromise while still maintaining boundaries.

How to connect and emotionally attune to your child

We will talk about the power of validation and attunement and how sometimes the most important thing is to just “be with” your child in their emotional experience.

How mental health diagnoses might impact your child’s behavior

We will discuss anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and more and learn ways to navigate these symptoms and support your child through their distress.

How to reach out for support and that you are not alone in your struggles

In this group, you will be able to connect with others who are experiencing similar struggles, and find support in a community of parents.
